Chemotherapy
Chemotherapy uses the administration of certain drugs
that destroy reproducing cancer cells. Unfortunately In the process
of administrating these drugs other cells like those that contribute
to the growth of hair are affected.
It is therefore common for Cancer patients to loose there hair,
eye lashes, eyebrows and body hair) during treatment.
The hair is usually lost in large quantities and very quickly.
Unfortunately no hair growth products such as shampoos or conditioners
can prevent this lost.
Once the Chemotherapy treatment is complete the hair will almost
always grow back. Remember it will not be immediate and may take
anywhere between six months to a year after the treatment ends to
have re-growth.
The returning hair may be different from your original hair, this
is caused usually from the alteration of the cells that produce
the hair.
It is common for the hair that returns to be a finer texture and
sometimes a different color, overtime the hair should return to
its original texture and thickness as well the same color or a close
shade of it
